Asset HistoryBy Galileo, Banc de Fortune is a Listed winner, who was second in a Group One race behind the brilliant Miss Finland. In total, Banc de Fortune won three races, and approaching $200,000 in prize money. She comes from an excellent family, being a daughter of the Danehill filly, Danendri, the top rated filly in Australia in 1996/97. Banc de Fortune was foaled in 2003. Since acquisition, Banc de Fortune has bred two excellent colts, both by Fastnet Rock. Furthermore, there has been a significant pedigree update in this family. The first foal of Zona, Banc de Fortune's unraced half sister, is called Faint Perfume. This Shamardal filly has been a top class performer and was voted champion filly in Australia in 2010. Banc de Fortune is now in foal to the Australian champion sire Redoute's Choice. The yearling was offered for sale at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale in Sydney in April of this year, and realised Australian $575,000 when knocked down to James Bester and Demi O'Byrne. The colt has been purchased for a racing syndicate, and will be trained by leading Australian trainer, Peter Moody. Banc de Fortune was offered for sale at the Inglis Easter Broodmare Sale on Wednesday 13th April 2011, and realised Australian $800,000 - the second highest price of the sale.
