William Sporborg, Managing Director

William Sporborg, 46, a qualified Chartered Accountant, has spent the last eighteen years investing in and managing unquoted companies. From 1992 to 1997, William worked at Hambro European Ventures investing in management buyouts and buyins with an enterprise value of between £10 million and £100 million. In 1997 William joined The NW Brown Group in Cambridge, one of the Eastern region's leading independent financial services companies. William was one of the founders of The Cambridge Gateway Fund, established in early 2000, and raised over £35 million for investment into early stage technology and life science companies. William left The Cambridge Gateway Fund in July 2005, to establish the Breeding Capital companies, where he is Managing Director, and Dazzling Capital PLC, where he holds a similar position.

William has a long standing interest and expertise in bloodstock, and was a successful point to point jockey, before retiring through injury in 1994. Thereafter, William became a well known commentator on amateur racing. William is a Director of Huntingdon Steeplechases Ltd.

William's role involves managing the affairs of the Companies, including, but not limited to, overseeing the Management Team, investor relations, corporate governance, and all legal, financial and regulatory matters.
